The Govalle Project is located on what used to be an old Pecan Orchard. Naturally, Megan and Frank Lin, our architects and interior designers for the project, have designed the four houses around the three mature Pecan trees on site.
The two Govalle ADUs are designed around the Pecans tree in the middle of the site and look into a common courtyard space. The ADUs also have the signature chamfered walls of the Govalle Project. The glass doors in the living room and bedroom opening to the southeast to take in the morning sun and the prevailing wind pattern in Central Texas
Each of the ADUs is designed to provide a living experience much bigger than their square footage. The main floor has a bedroom / office space and an open living area and kitchen leading to a patio. The entire second floor is dedicated to the Master bedroom suite that opens to a large balcony
Megan and Frank Lin, founders of Coxist Studio designed this house taking into consideration the site, existing trees, and prevailing wind and solar patterns in Central Texas.
Megan and Frank, before starting their own practice worked at Gensler and wHY Architecture among others and were involved in the design of high end hospitality projects and high profile museum designs.
Their work has been featured in Dwell, Arch Daily and other architecture publications.
We at smartDigs are driven by a simple principle - build homes like we are going to live in them... For a very long time.
This philosophy drives us to select partners who share our philosophy like Urbane Roost as our General Contractor. Dino and Matt at Urbane Roost have decades of experience in home building.
Our goal is to use green principles wherever possible and use materials and processes that withstand the test of time; Smart Home technologies that connect the homes to the people that live in them, whether they are home or away.
All the finishes and fixtures are designed and selected by Frank and Megan at Coxist Studio and bring a cohesion and harmony to the interiors.
The interiors are defined by harmonious Spanish tiles, spa like bathrooms, sleek European appliances, and eclectic Mid Century Modern inspired, yet contemporary fixtures through out the house.
