Concept
One really large lot, technically a duplex, but is it really, if the floor plans are completely different?
Meet the UN/duplex
The front house brings the family together with a spacious living, and dining area connected to the kitchen with a pantry. Floor to ceiling windows open into a private yard in front of the house. A bedroom / study with a full bath, laundry and a connected garage complete the main floor.
The second floor has a master suite with a stand alone tub and a shower. Sliding panel windows open up to a large private patio. There is another bedroom with a full bathroom.
Custom cabinets, high end appliances, water fall counter tops, floor to ceiling designer tiles in all bathrooms, wood floors, smooth finish walls make this a luxury home you can't wait to get back to.
Wi-Fi enabled door lock, video door bell, thermostats, garage door, irrigation system, pre-wiring for cameras on the exterior make this a rather smart home you can manage from inside the house or across the country!
Architecture
Megan and Frank Lin, founders of Coxist Studio designed this house taking into consideration the site, existing trees, and prevailing wind and solar patterns in Central Texas.
Not only is this the UN/duplex, but also the UN/block house. The second floor is set back from the front of the house with a large patio. The exteriors are accentuated with elegant transitions of multiple materials and textures.
The architectural details extend to every exterior feature with harmonious proportions of the windows to the facades, graceful eves and roof lines and the articulation of the mass to where the house flows into its surroundings.

Construction
We at smartDigs are driven by a simple principle - build homes like we are going to live in them... For a very long time.
Our goal is to use green principles wherever possible and use materials and processes that withstand the test of time; Smart Home technologies that connect the homes to the people that live in them, whether they are home or away.
Our focus is on building architecturally significant houses both inside and out, to the highest quality standards
Interiors
All the finishes and fixtures are designed and selected by Frank and Megan at Coxist Studio and bring a cohesion and harmony to the interiors.
The interiors are defined by meticulously designed spaces, spa like bathrooms, sleek European appliances, and eclectic Mid Century Modern inspired, yet contemporary fixtures through out the house. Large floor to ceiling windows connect living spaces to the outside. High ceilings and 8" interior doors open up the rooms.
Spacious second floor patios and ground floor decks for entertaining or just relaxing.
